Neuroscience Research Center

Neuroscience Research Center operates within an established interventional pain management practice and surgery center in Overland Park, Kansas, supporting clinical research in chronic pain, neuromodulation, spine, migraine, and neuropathic conditions.

The site includes dedicated research areas, patient evaluation space, and infrastructure to support device, pharmaceutical, and interventional clinical trials. NRC works closely with sponsors and CROs to facilitate study startup, patient engagement, protocol compliance, and ongoing study coordination.

Mission and Strategy

Our strategy is to exceed study enrollment timelines and expectations, recruit the right patients, expedite contract and budget negotiations, and central IRB submissions. 

Our mission is to continually execute trial activities from initiation to completion and maintain loyalty to our Sponsors and CROs by delivering quality data. Our private practice, Kansas Pain Management (KSPM) works in collaboration with NRC to support this mission. Research team roles and responsibilities are well-defined and delegated in accordance by site standard operating procedures.

Our Facility

Neuroscience Research Center (NRC) is housed within the main private practice location alongside  Kansas Pain Management.  Neuroscience Research Center is an outpatient research facility. We serve new and existing patients and a large network of other ancillary healthcare providers. 

The research site includes an array of medical amenities to ensure patient comfort. We have existing contracts in place with local imaging centers and surgery centers.

Dr. Mayank Gupta

MD

Dr. Gupta is a board-Certified, fellowship-trained interventional pain Management Physician.

Dr. Jacob Kneeman

MD

Dr. Kneeman is an interventional pain physician who completed residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Amy Reinert

BS

Amy is the Lead Clinical Research Coordinator at our site. She graduated from KSU with a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences. She has 16 years of experience in clinical research including working for Saint Luke's Hospital, KU Medical Center, and HCA.

Reena

Reena is a Clinical Research Coordinator at our site. She has a bachelors degree in pharmacy and molecular biosciences. She previously worked in research and drug testing laboratories.

Dr. Mahoua Ray

MD

Dr. Ray is a board certified Pain Management specialist who has ten years of experience not only as an Anesthesiologist and Pain Physician but also as an educator

Nicole Walton

APRN

Nicole Walton is a nurse practitioner who specializes in pain management. She studied at UMKC for her undergrad and graduate degrees. She first started as an RN, working at KU Med for several years then went back to school to become a nurse practitioner.

Dr. Twinkal Dalal

MD

Dr. Dalal specializes in the treatment of people with acute and chronic pain problems including lower back and neck pain, joint pain, complex regional pain syndrome, neuralgia, chronic migraine headache and myofascial pain.
