Dr. Twinkal Dalal, MD, is a board-certified interventional pain management physician who has practiced in the Kansas City metro area since 2014, with a clinical and research focus on acute and chronic pain conditions.
She completed her medical degree at B.J. Medical College in India, followed by anesthesia residency training at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago and the University of Missouri, Columbia. She went on to complete her pain medicine fellowship through the ACGME-accredited program at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County, where she was actively involved in multiple research projects during both her residency and fellowship training. Dr. Dalal has authored numerous publications and regularly presents her research at national and international pain medicine conferences.
Research & Clinical Focus
Dr. Dalal’s research and clinical interests center on multimodal, minimally invasive approaches to pain management, including:
- Chronic neck, back, and joint pain
- Complex regional pain syndrome
- Chronic nerve pain
- Migraine headache and cervical dystonia
- Abdominal and pelvic pain
- Cancer-related pain
Her investigational and clinical work spans a broad range of interventional techniques, including epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation, joint injections, peripheral nerve blocks, peripheral nerve stimulators, regenerative medicine, botulinum toxin therapy for migraine and cervical dystonia, ketamine infusion, and ultrasound-guided procedures.

Dr. Dalal’s work is grounded in a multimodal, evidence-based approach aimed at improving functionality and quality of life for patients with acute and chronic pain. Her contributions to the field, combined with her ongoing clinical research, support the development of more effective, individualized pain management strategies.
